Alan Goldsmith, M.D.

“I like the variety of patient care that the OB/GYN specialty gives me. I enjoy the different experiences of delivering a baby, doing in-office surgery or consulting with a menopausal patient. I am treating different issues. I like the challenge of finding the best course of action to take in order to give my patients the best of care.”

Dr. Goldsmith obtained his undergraduate and medical degrees at Wayne State University. His residency was completed at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and he is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. Goldsmith has served as vice-chairman of the OB/GYN department at Huron Valley Hospital. His areas of expertise include well women care, laparoscopic surgery, Essure sterilization and endometrial ablation. “It is important to be a good listener and I want to empower my patients to make the correct choices regarding health decisions.”

Lon Katz, M.D.

Dr. Katz received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Wayne State University. His residency was completed at Sinai Hospital of Detroit and is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. His areas of interest include general and high-risk obstetrics, office and surgical gynecology. Dr. Katz is also specially trained for surgical therapy for urinary loss problems, minimally invasive surgery including Da Vinci robotic and laparoscopic hysterectomy as well as other alternatives to hysterectomy.

Rachel O'Keefe, D.O.

"I enjoy working with women of all ages from adolescence to post-menopausal and I believe in educating my patients so they understand their options, allowing them to be involved in their own health care decisions."

Dr. O’Keefe is board certified, specializing in obstetrics and gynecology with specific interests in pre-conception counseling, contraception management, as well as high-risk obstetrics. She is trained in minimally invasive surgery including endometrial ablation, laparoscopy and vaginal and robotic surgery. She is a graduate of Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her OB/GYN residency at McLaren Macomb in Mount Clemens, MI. Dr. O’Keefe served as Chief Resident from 2012-2013. Dr. O’Keefe enjoys exercising, reading and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.

Donna Lyons, R.N.C., N.P., M.S.N

“I like to assist women in making informed decisions regarding their healthcare needs.”

Donna Lyons attended Madonna University where she obtained her Bachelors in Nursing. She then earned her Master's Degree and Nurse Practitioner certification from Wayne State University. While she is skilled in treating women of all ages, she has a special knack with our adolescent patients.

Michael Salesin, M.D.

“My years of experience in gynecology allow me to have a great perspective in the health care of women. Patients should expect a physician who listens and responds to their needs.”

Dr. Salesin earned his undergraduate from the University of Michigan and his medical degree from Wayne State University. His residency was completed at Sinai Hospital in Detroit. Dr. Salesin is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. He is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at Wayne State University. He has staff positions at Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital, Berry Surgical Center and Lakes Surgical Center. Dr. Salesin’s special interests are infertility and menopausal medicine.
